South Asia: Wetland Restoration, New Delhi

Wetland scientists in New Delhi have restored close to 20 forest communities in the Yamuna Biodiversity Park in the north of the city. It is the only park in the area were the migratory Red-crested Pochard can be seen, and thanks to the Park’s restoration, more than 200 of the bird species have been sighted in the Park this year, according to scientist-in-charge at the Park Dr. Faiyaz A.
